Palo Alto, CA — The Gunn Titans earned their first victory of the 2026 season with a dominant 33–0 shutout over the Lynbrook Vikings at Gunn High School. Coming off a tough season-opening loss, the Titans responded the way we wanted to see—together. From the opening kickoff, Gunn played with energy, physicality, and discipline on both sides of the football. Offensively, the Titans found their rhythm and consistently put themselves in position to score. After being held to seven points in the season opener, Gunn responded with 33 points against Lynbrook, showing significant improvement and taking another step forward as an offense. The defense set the tone throughout the night. Gunn kept Lynbrook off the scoreboard for all four quarters, earning the team's first shutout of the season. The Titans played fast, tackled well, and continued to put pressure on the Lynbrook offense. The defensive effort allowed Gunn to control the game and gave the offense opportunities to capitalize. More importantly, this was a complete team victory. Our players responded to adversity, trusted each other, and showed the type of effort and accountability that we want to define Gunn Football. There are still plenty of things for us to clean up and improve, but this was an important step forward for our football program. The victory moved Gunn to 1–1 on the season and gave the Titans momentum heading into the next part of the schedule. FINAL: GUNN 33 – LYNBROOK 0 This team is continuing to grow. We will enjoy the win, learn from the film, and get back to work. Family. Accountability. Resilience. Unity. TITAN BUILT!
