San Marcos, CA — SAN MARCOS, CA (9/1/2026) -- Palomar College women's soccer dropped its home opener 3-0 to Cypress on Tuesday, as the Comets couldn't find an answer for a Cypress attack that struck early and often. Cypress got on the board just two minutes in and added goals in each half to pull away. Emma Arce turned in a heavy workload in net for Palomar, facing a barrage of shots throughout the match and coming up with a big night of saves to keep the score from getting further out of hand. With the loss, Palomar falls to 0-1-1 on the season. The Comets hit the road next, traveling to Norco College for a 2 p.m. kickoff on Tuesday.
