La Habra, CA — Sonora Raiders Varsity put up five runs in the fifth on its way to an 8-2 victory over Sunny Hills on Friday. The big inning was thanks to singles by Brad Pellkofer and Joey Flores, an error on a ball put in play by Austin Haller, and a double by Anthony Wyman. Sonora Raiders Varsity got on the board in the second inning when Wyman drew a walk, scoring one run. Sonora Raiders Varsity took the lead for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run for Sonora Raiders Varsity. Sonora Raiders Varsity notched five runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by Sonora Raiders Varsity was led by Haller, Pellkofer, Wyman, and Flores, who all drove in runs. Adam Berecek was the winning pitcher for Sonora Raiders Varsity.
