Whittier, CA — Both teams were strong on the mound on Tuesday, but Glenn was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Pioneer Titans Varsity on Tuesday. Javier Macias started the game for Pioneer Titans Varsity and recorded 18 outs. Glenn fired up the offense in the second inning, when J Hernandez doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. In the top of the third inning, the Titans tied things up at one. Isaiah Montalvo doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Glenn pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth J Llamas laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run. J Figueroa led things off on the pitcher's mound for Glenn. He surrendered one run on three hits over seven innings, striking out eight. Macias toed the rubber for Pioneer. He lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and two runs while striking out three. Montalvo, Matt Zepeda, and Druw Galindo all had one hit to lead the Titan offense.
