West Covina, CA — It was a slow start for the Huskies early morning Saturday as they went out to Walnut for a back 2 back series. The game on Friday ended with a 9-2 victory for South Hills w/ Myles Farhan closing out t6he last inning just needing 7 pitches to do so.... BUT on Saturday Walnut jumped out on them early. In the second inning they scored 2 and 2 more in the third and in the fourth they scored another and before you knew it the boys were down 5 runs. In the fifth inning the boys woke up and so did their bats!!! Sebastian started us off and the top of the line up did their job and loaded up the bases for the "meat" of the line up and by the time Malek got in the box he was hungry!!! He delivered a shot to dead center that cleared the bases and tied the game. The Huskies did have their chances but left 2 on each inning after that but didn't allow another run. What a great comeback for the boys.... this team continues to amaze me but the parents hearts are racing waaaaaaaaaaay too much after that game!!! The boys still don't have a mark in the loss column and lets hope that continues!!!!!
