San Juan Capistrano, CA — The Lions lost the last league match of the 2019 campaign, 5 to 13 vs the Eagles. Brett Batey picked up his regular 2 sets, no small feat in the Trinity League, as most schools have two solids players atop their ladders. Brett's record vs the Eagles, OLu and Mater Dei, specifically earned him the fourth seed in the upcoming Trinity League individuals next week. Andrew Antonius, playing his last league match won 2 doubles sets, and narrowly missed a third, losing in a tiebreaker vs SM's #1 team. He and his partner, Nicky Dubrow upset the #2 team in a terrific tiebreaker victory! Nicky definitely came out of his cocoon today and there is no putting him back! We will host St Margarets Tuesday April 23rd, in a non league senior day event. The Trinity League tournament begins at 11am April 16 with semis/finals the 17th, 12 noon start.
