Los Angeles, CA — Game after game, the pieces continue to come together. Highlights from this game included top-notch transitions and some sensational CTOs that the Eagles converted into goals. Also, freshman goalie Faith made 11 saves, her highest yet this season! The Eagles were quick off the draw from the start, and the first goal came off an intercepted clear from the Culver goalie. Sydnee-Anne anticipated where the goalie was going to throw it, made a clean interception, and found Abi Layne inside the 8, who placed her shot perfectly. At halftime, the score was all tied up at 4-4, and Culver inched ahead 6-4, capitalizing on a few fast breaks. The Eagles brought it back within one goal, but unfortunately were unable to cause a turnover in the last few minutes of the game, and the Centaurs stalled to take the W. The Eagles face the Centaurs again later this season, and you can bet we're hard at work at practice to get that W next time.
