Tustin, CA — The Warriors kicked off the season Thursday night at an away match-up vs Beckman High School. Troy came out sharp, and took an early 6-0 lead on a 21 yard touchdown run from Jr Lukas Mucino. The Warriors battled tough, but ultimately fell to Beckman by a score of 27-18. Turnovers were a major factor in the contest, with Beckman capitalizing on Troy mishaps to take a 21-6 lead before halftime. Troy battled back with touchdowns from Sr Zavier Riggs and Jr Shane Simpson, to pull within three points, trailing 21-18. Beckman secured a fumble late in the contest, and scored two plays later to create a 27-18 lead. Troy will host El Dorado at Fullerton District Stadium on Friday Night (August 31) in their Home Opener.
