Riverside, CA — The Freshman Elsinore Tigers traveled to Riverside, CA and earned a 31-14 victory. This win completed an undefeated season in road games. The Tigers were nearly unstoppable on offense. Jamari Jones, Makiyum Smith, and Darren Willis broke off explosive plays all afternoon, helped by strong blocking by guards Nikolas Morones and Zavier Swoffer. Quarterback Brayden Boyd added to the offensive outburst by throwing his first career TD pass to Smith. Defensively, the Tigers were able to hold an effective Rams spread offense to their lowest point total of the season. Gio Ramirez led the charge clogging up the middle and forcing the Rams to run outside. Darren Willis was all over the field making hard tackles from his linebacker position. In the secondary, Semaj Moore took over as the QB of the defense and drove down for some nice tackles in his new position as Free Safety. The Tigers will look to finish their season strong as they graduate from being Freshman and will join the JV team to take on city rivals Temescal Canyon.
