Davis, CA — (Davis, CA) The McClatchy Lions fell behind early, trailing 18-11 by the half, only to roar back in the final three minutes to close a 10-point deficit and send the game to overtime in the quarterfinals at the 2019 Dorothy Speck Memorial hosted at Davis Senior High School. Kennis Jasperson led CKM’s offense with 11 points (3 assists, 5 steals). Jasperson hit a clutch 3-pointer and nailed a 20-foot jump shot in a span of 30 seconds at the end of regulation to extend the game to overtime. Alyssa Yuke (8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals) hit a shot in the last few seconds to tie the game again to set up the second overtime period. Aaliyah Pirkey also made it into double digits, scoring 11 points for McClatchy (8 rebounds, 3 steals). Pirkey hit a big 3-pointer at the end of 2OT to put McClatchy up for good.
