San Juan Capistrano, CA — The Lady Eagles of Southlands Christian improved to a 2 and 0 start on their season Wednesday. A big fourth inning sparked an eight-run fury that led the Eagles on their way to an 11-2 victory over Capistrano Valley Christian on Wednesday. Several Southlands Christian hitters contributed to that big offensive fourth inning, which included SELAH DOMINGUEZ, ALISSA ALCARAZ, ALLYSON YOUNG, TORI MARVEL and a bases-clearing home run down the left-field line for FRANKIE KOCH. ALISSA ALCARAZ led the way in the circle for Southlands Christian Eagles. She pitched six innings, allowing two runs on five hits while strinking out six. Southlands racked up 18 hits on the day. BECKY ALONSO, SELAH DOMINGUEZ, ALLYSON YOUNG, TORI MARVEL, MIKAYLI McCORMACK, and FRANKIE KOCH all managed multiple hits. YOUNG, DOMINGUEZ, and ALONSO each managed three hits. The one thing that Coach Marvel was most proud of was the fact that the team did not commit a single error in the field. The Lady Eagels take on defending CIF champs, Western Christian, in a non-league match-up on Tuesday. "Powered by Narrative Science and GameChanger Media. Copyright 2020. All rights reserved."
