Rocklin, CA — In a great showing, Kennis Jasperson scored 20 points, but this was not enough as C.K. McClatchy fell to Folsom 58-47 in the Championship Game at the Rocklin Thunder Basketball Tournament on Monday. Even though McClatchy stepped up their game to outscore Folsom in the second half of play, it wasn't enough to overtake Folsom's strong 17-7 second quarter. Jasperson was the leader of McClatchy's offense with 19 points, including six during the fourth period. She shot 53 percent from the floor (8-for-15) and contributed four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. Alyssa Yuke hit double digits, scoring 10 points for McClatchy (4-for-9). Also scoring for CKM were Kelley Anderson (8 points, 9 rebounds, 1 block), Makenna Schaefer (6 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals), Adamaris Perez (2 points, 2 rebounds, 3 steals), and Ameerah Abdul Rahman (2 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals). McClatchy finished the game with 54 rebounds (30 offensive / 24 defensive), three blocks and 16 steals. "Powered by Narrative Science and GameChanger Media. Copyright 2019. All rights reserved."
