Commerce, CA — The Pioneer Titans took the lead late in the game in a 3-1 victory over Bell Gardens on Saturday. The game was tied at one with Pioneer batting in the top of the seventh when Tony Beltran singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Xavier Cervantes led the Pionee to victory on the hill. He surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out eight and walking zero. Titans will take on Santa Ana in the first round of the Newport Elks Tournament on Thursday at home.
