The game was tied at three with Troy Warriors Varsity batting in the bottom of the fifth when Josiah Darden singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Tustin opened up scoring in the first inning. Tustin scored one run when Juan (Johnny) Esparza doubled. Jack Warsaw pitched Troy Warriors Varsity to victory. He allowed two hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three. Justin Jackson threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Jackson recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Troy Warriors Varsity. Jeremy Haugh was on the pitcher's mound for Tustin. He went six innings, allowing six runs on nine hits and striking out four. Noah Elorriaga started the game for Troy Warriors Varsity. He allowed three hits and one run over two innings, striking out two Luke Jamison went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Troy Warriors Varsity in hits. Tustin racked up six hits.
