Fullerton, CA — Troy Warriors Varsity nabbed the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Fullerton on Friday. Troy Warriors Varsity was down 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Roman Arriaga homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Troy Warriors Varsity fired up the offense in the second inning. Jack Stangl #16 was hit by a pitch, driving in a run. In the top of the fourth inning, Fullerton tied things up at three when Nathan Chong doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. Justin Jackson earned the win for Troy Warriors Varsity. He went three innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out two and walking zero. Carlos Cervantes toed the rubber for Fullerton. He went one and one-third innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out one. EJ Ayala and Sebastian Fany entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two and two-thirds innings and two innings respectively. Arriaga started the game for Troy Warriors Varsity.
