Anaheim, CA — A run here and a run there helped propel the Pioneer Titans to a big win over Savanna on Friday, 7-1. Pioneer pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning when Nathan Cardenas tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Xavier Cervantes pitched Pioneer to victory. He lasted six innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out four and walking zero. Nathan Ruano threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Ruano recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Pioneer Titans Varsity. Pioneer Titans Varsity tallied 11 hits on the day. Jalanni Wilson and Nathan Cardenas all managed multiple hits for Pioneer Titans Varsity. The Titans improve to 4-2 overall and take on Long Bech Jordan and Beverly Hills next week.
