Berlin, OH — The Lady Bears had quite the matchup for their first game back after a 10 day quarantine. The bears traveled to The Classic in the Country and played host, Hiland. The bears fell 62-35 to the state powerhouse, who is ranked #1 in Division 3. Hiland jumped out to a 19-5 lead after the first quarter and Jackson closed it to 30-17 at half. Emma Dretke started the third quarter with back-to-back baskets, cutting into the Hawks lead, pulling the Bears to within single digits (30-21). That was the closest the lady bears came as Hiland went on a run and closed the game out in the fourth quarter. Emma Dretke had 12 points and 7 rebounds. Alayna McMullen had 6 points/4 steals and Leena Patibandla had 6 points/5assists. Megan Campbell played incredible defense off the bench and scored 4 points, along with 3 points from Ava Scroggs. The bears are unfortunately still without an injured Lauren Pallotta. The Bears are back in action Saturday vs. Glenoak!
