Goddard, KS — The game against Campus was a tail of two halves. In the first half, the Lions struggled to lock in defensively and allowed 41 first half points. Offensively, Goddard was able to find some success early and then struggled throughout the second quarter. After a rough beginning, the Lions responded with a great second half! Goddard outscored Campus 28-15 in the second half but unfortunately had dug themselves into too big of a hole to climb out of. Much of the second half performance was contributed to their defensive mentality and ability to take care of the basketball by only having 3 second half turnovers. The Lions will look to move to 2-0 in conference play this Friday against a solid Valley Center team. We are hoping to carry the second half performance against the Colts into our next two league games before Christmas Break!
