Lakewood, CA — Pioneer defeated Artesia 10-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Joaquin Trinidad induced a groundout finish off the game. The Titans opened up scoring in the second inning with an RBI single by Nathan Price. Pioneer scored four runs in the sixth inning. Damon Galindo and Tony Beltran powered the big inning with RBIs. Druw Galindo led the Titans to victory on the pitcher's mound. The fireballer went six innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out ten and walking one. Trinidad threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Pioneer tallied nine hits against Artesia pitching. Gabriel Stevens and Beltran each racked up multiple hits to lead the PiHi offense. Pioneer will face Artesia at home on Friday with a chance to clinch a playoff spot.
