Fairfield, CT — Fairfield Warde played tough in their 2nd win of the season against Staples High. Led by strong guard play and dominant rebounding Warde took the lead and held on late. Kyle Justo (12 pts) was strong on both ends providing the leadership needed to win the game. Staples came out shooting well behind the 3 point line hitting their first 4 attempts, but Warde was not rattled and responded each time with the help of Gerald Jacobs (11 pts). Warde dominated the boards with multiple players grabbing double digit rebounds, Jonah Bass-Lawrence, Aidan Coppola and Nicolas Alvarez-Bonilla couldn't be stopped and helped Warde end up victorious when the final buzzer rang. Warde now plays Trumbull High Wednesday afternoon in seek of their 3rd win of the season.
