Pioneer took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run for Pioneer and Reece singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Pioneer scored six runs in the sixth inning. Ramos, Reece, Rodriguez, McLarin, and Player all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. Rodriguez led the Pioneer to victory on the mound. The ace allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out two. Gabe Ponce took the loss for Vanden Vikings JV. Ponce lasted four innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out six and walking one. Michel started the game for Pioneer. The fireballer went two innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out four Jovan Ochoa went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Vanden Vikings JV in hits. Pioneer scattered 12 hits in the game.
