Massillon, OH — The Jackson Polar Bears hosted the Tallmadge Blue Devils on a chilly Friday evening. The Polar Bears got the scoring started in the bottom of the first inning on two singles and a walk to make it 1-0. Tallmadge tied up the game in the top of the 3rd inning to make it 1-1 after 3 innings of play. Jackson would take the lead in the bottom of the 4th inning scoring two runs on three singles and a walk. The Blue Devils would take the lead in the top of the 6th inning after scoring one run in the 5th and two runs in the 6th to take a 4-3 lead going into the 7th inning. Mytinger would get things started in the bottom of the 7th with a leadoff walk followed by a sacrifice bunt by Pastorius. Hynes would tie up the score with a single to center field scoring Mytinger. Scroggs would end the game on a walk-off single to center field scoring Hynes to win 5-4. Campbell and Gandee held the Tallmadge offense in check for most of the night. They did what they needed to do to secure the win for the Polar Bears. Hynes lead the offense for Jackson with three hits. Jackson is back in action tomorrow for a doubleheader against Strongsville.
