Shakopee, MN — Burnsville sophomore team lost 4-2 in 5 today against Shakopee. They were held in check until the 4th inning when they plated two runs but intimately couldn’t move guys in and lost. Shakopee got all of their runs in the first 3 innings, getting 2 in the 1st, 1 in the 2nd, and 1 in the 3rd which proved to be too much. Vincent Birch started today and shoved. He pitched all 5 innings, K’ing 3. The fastball command was there today, as he retired the last 9 guys in a row including 2 3 up 3 down innings. Cole Seiben went 2-3 with 2 singles and Mario Nesvig and Leo Christenson both getting extra base hits. The Blaze play their final game tomorrow at Eagan at 4:30
