Fairfield, CT — Although the Mustangs came up short in a much awaited matchup, the boys competed with one of the top teams in the state. Through the first quarter, the Mustangs and Tigers were knotted at 5, exchanging blow for blow. At the half, the Mustangs trailed by just 2 but continued to complete. The tigers potent offense struck quickly in the 3rd quarter and a few unlucky bounces found the Mustangs on the losing end of a tough but competitive game. Both the offense and defense showed they can compete with the best. This is a great opportunity for the team to learn and move forward as a unit. Next game is Thursday, 6pm, Home vs St Joes. The Mustangs look to lock up a spot in the state tournament with their next win.
