San Juan Capistrano, CA — This quickly scheduled match, postponed from earlier in the season, was abbreviated as Edison showed up with 6 players. We played 6 sets of singles along with 6 sets of doubles. Unfortunately we could only get 1 set win in doubles (thank you Kenny Perez and Max Chiotis !) while getting 4 set wins in singles. MVP honors go to those who won 100% of matches played today: Luke Krolikowski and Marco Belciano in singles, Kenny Perez winning one set of singles along with his doubles set. Honorable mention to Nicholas Barrios who switched out of doubles and played the final set of the day in singles, defeating their #2 player in a tie-breaker 7-2! Great hustle, great effort. We subbed out our top 2 players, Luke and Marco, after the first round, so some of the others could get extra playing time this afternoon. Everyone else who showed up got to play 2 full sets, which was lucky since the Chargers only had 6 players. The scorecard shows we lost two sets 4-6, along with one tie-break loss... so this match was pretty close. Next up: Wednesday, March 31st, home vs Santa Margarita, 3pm. Trinity League opener!
