Allentown, PA — Blake Heitzman was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Thursday, driving in five on two hits to lead Easton Area Rovers JV past Louis E. Dieruff 26-2 on Thursday. Heitzman drove in runs on a groundout in the third, a single in the fourth, a single in the fourth, and a walk in the fourth. Easton Area Rovers JV secured the victory thanks to 22 runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was thanks to walks by Matthew Zingales, Michael Simko, Nic Barone, Stephen Ricicki, and Heitzman, singles by Heitzman, Aiden Harman, Ryan Taynton, Heitzman, and Brendan Larkin, by Larkin, a groundout by Darius Nettles, an error on a ball put in play by Ryan Coulombe, and a double by Nolan Morgia. Ryan Holmes was the winning pitcher for Easton Area Rovers JV. The southpaw lasted three innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out four and walking one.
