Lakeville, MN — Burnsville Blaze 9A easily dispatched Lakeville South 9A 8-2 on Wednesday The Blaze got things started in the first inning. AJ Galvin singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring Chase Classen. The Blaze added three runs in the third. A double by Darren Einberger brought in one run, then on a dropped third strike to Nick Discher, Greydon Isebrand came homes and Darren scored after an overthrow trying to get him advancing to third. The Blaze notched three more runs in the sixth inning. A double by John Santelman and a single by Luke Dam drove in runs in the big inning. Eli Johnson was the winning pitcher for the Blaze. The righthander lasted four innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out 11 and walking one. Greydon Isebrand threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Isebrand recorded the last nine outs to earn the save. Kenny Steffen went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Blaze in hits. Darren and John had doubles; while AJ, Luke D and Nick each singled. The Blaze are back on the road on Thursday for a game against Lakeville North.
