Burnt Hills, NY — Burnt Hills fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 11-7 loss to Niskayuna on Wednesday. Niskayuna took the lead on a double by Sam Falace, driving in 3 in the second inning. Despite the loss, the Spartans did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Niskayuna had ten hits on the way to victory. Burnt Hills notched six runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to singles by Liam Blesi and Noah DiCaprio and a double by Justin Gray. Niskayuna scored five runs in the sixth inning. Max Rowden, Connor Singsheim, Brody Johson, and Jack Pechar all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Falace was the winning pitcher for Niskayuna. The hurler went five innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out 11. Kevin Abatto threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Vincent Vendetti took the loss for Burnt Hills. Vendetti allowed four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out six. Kyle DeCresce went 2-for-5 at the plate to lead the Spartans in hits. Niskayuna saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Rowden and Falace each managed multiple hits for Niskayuna. Rowden led Niskayuna with three hits in five at bats.
