Rochester, MI — A rainy game day made for a low scoring game. Both teams started with a turn over on downs, which ate up time in the first quarter ending the 1st with no score. The 2nd quarter started with some excitement from the Highlanders with a fumble recovery by Hart, but that was followed by little action taking us into the half with still a scoreless football game. Stoney Creek finally put a score on the board in the 3rd Q, followed by a failed 2 point conversion, for a score of 6-0. Stoney connected for another pass play, to score in the 3rd Q again, ending the 3rd Q 12-0. Highlanders showed a little fight in the 4th Q when Andrzejak had a nice run with a QB keep which set himself up for the Highlanders first and only TD of the night. Watters kick was good for the extra point. Score was now 12-7. Highlanders continued to fight, but had a turnover on downs late in the 4th.... leaving the final score 12-7. Highlanders are 6-2 overall. Their final game of the season is against Detroit Renaissance at ADAMS on 10/21. Come out and support the boys for their last game of the season.
