Tigers Back in the Win Column

Herrin Lady Tigers battle the elements and managed to beat the Steeleville Lady Warriors 7-3 in a non-conference game on Saturday. The Tigers were led on the day by freshman Madison Dickerson who went 2-4 (2 Runs, 3 RBI, HR). Others hitting safely for the Tigers included Reese Elliott 1-3 (2 Runs), Madison Monchino 1-3 (1 Run, 1 RBI), and Haylee Smith 1-4 on the day. Sophie Schramm picked up the win in the circle. The senior right hander went the distance throwing 7 innings, allowing 5 hits, 3 Runs, and 8 strikeouts. This pulls the Lady Tigers overall record to 4-4 on the season.

Tiger Offense Not Enough

Herrin Lady Tigers made a good run in the fourth inning Saturday morning against Anna led by a 3-run homerun by senior Sophie Schramm to pull within 1-run but ultimately came up short against a very good ball club in Anna-Jonesboro. Final score was 18-6 but felt much closer at times.

Tigers Win a Thriller!

Down 8-2 in the fourth inning, the Herrin Lady Tigers stormed back, led by a 2-run bomb by senior Branson Hill to spark the offense! Hill finished the day 3-5 (1 HR, 3 RBI, and 1 run scored). Madison Monchino, Gigi George, and Sophie Schramm also reached base safely with 2 hits on the day. Sophie Schramm picks up the win in the circle going all 8 innings surrendering 13 hits, 11 runs (5 earned), 2 BB, and 4 strikeouts. Tigers improve their record to 3-3 overall and look to battle Saturday versus some very tough competition in Anna Jonesboro. Great team win and great overall effort ladies!

Tiger Bats Come Alive!

Herrin Lady Tigers get their first win of the young season beating Hardin County 17-2 while cranking out 17 hits. The Tigers were led at the plate by junior shortstop Haylee Smith who went 4-4 on the day with 2 triples, a double, a single, 4 RBI, and 3 runs scored. Reese Elliott (2-2, 2 RBI, 2 Runs, 2 BB), Madison Monchino (2-4, 2 RBI, 2 Runs), Madison Dickerson (2-2, 1 RBI, 3 Runs, 1 BB) and Gigi George (2-2, 1 RBI, 2 Runs) all collected multiple hits on the day. Senior Sophie Schramm picks up the win in the circle going 3 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 run (0 earned). Freshman Brooke Hudgens finished things off for the Tigers allowing 1 hit and 1 earned run. Great team win!!
