The JV Lions snapped a three-game skid, finishing the week with a 4-1 road victory over the Beckman High School Patriots. The stingy Lions pitching staff tossed a no-hitter through five innings. Troy Winningham (2.0 IP), Josh Thomas (2.0 IP), Diego Puglisi (1.0 IP), Cole Murphy (1.0 IP), and Nick Galleta (1.0 IP; SV) teamed-up on the mound to strike out ten Patriots and allowed just two hits on the day. Andrew Lamb and Ben Reimers had key at-bats that plated the runs for the Lions. Next up, the JV takes on Huntington Beach at home and journeys to Van Nuys to play Birmingham. Watch the JV's plays of the week, including a 2-6 double play and a three-run bomb by Brodie Purcell versus Cypress.
