Mike has been a self employed graphic designer since 2002 and is currently a partner in an apparel company Republic while also working part time at Costco. Mike began coaching as an assistant basketball coach at Vail Christian High School under head coach Sheldon Kuhns. Assisting for four years in the growth of this new program is where his passion for guiding young athletes to believe in each other and work towards the same goals was born. He has coached baseball, basketball and soccer at the youth and High School levels for over 19 years. Mike began coaching baseball when his sons began playing in 2006. His passion for the game of baseball has keep him involved in coaching here in Eagle County for over 15 years. Mike was asked to join the coaching staff at Battle Mountain High School in 2018 after coaching five years with Three Rivers Little League. Mike coaches with the belief that players and their relationships with each other can carry on for a lifetime. Teaching them to lean on each other and be accountable during difficult times on and off the field of play. Helping them understand that there are positive results when you work hard and you push others to work as hard as you. Believe that success doesn’t always come in wins and losses but knowing that you and your teammates are better than you were yesterday.
