About Me

Coach Peralta returns for his 16th season as Head Coach of the Elsinore Tigers and his 35th season of coaching overall. He and his beautiful wife Julia reside in Murrieta and celebrate 29 years of marriage together. Their life is made full with three wonderful adult children; Kayla (26), Nolan (24) and Davis (22). As a native of Long Beach, Coach Peralta is a product of their schools and Universities. Coach Peralta played on the first CIF Championship team at Millikan High School in 1977 as a tight end and outside linebacker. After graduation, he went on to play football at LBCC and Cerritos College before transferring to Long Beach State, where he received his teaching credentials in Physical Education and Biology. He later earned his postgraduate Masters degree in Science through Walden University. Coach Peralta began his coaching career at his alma mater, Millikan High School, in 1983. At Millikan, he coached positions on both sides of the ball at all levels, as well as coordinating the Varsity offense, defense and special teams over a 10 year span. In 1993, Coach Peralta became the Head Football Coach at Millikan High School, serving in that capacity for 8 years. In that time he was twice selected as the Head Coach of the Long Beach Senior Bowl All Star Game in 1997 and 1999. In 2001, Coach Peralta came to Elsinore High School as a defensive line coach, and became Head Football Coach the following season in 2002. In 15 seasons as Head Coach, he has won 7 Varsity League Championships, 11 JV League Championships and 2 Freshman League Championships. His teams have won 2 Riverside County Academic Championships, both 2010 and 2013. In 2006, he led the Tigers to the Central Division CIF Championship game. Coach Peralta was awarded Sunbelt League Coach of the Year twice, in 2002 and 2006. He was also named All Valley Coach of the Year in 2006 and was selected as the Head Coach of the Inland Empire All Star Classic in 2006. In 2010, Coach Peralta led Elsinore Football to the Eastern Division CIF Championship game, where the Tigers won the first CIF Football Championship in school history. Coach Peralta was named the 2010 CIF Coach of the Year, 2010 Riverside County Coach of the Year, and 2010 All Valley Coach of the Year. In 2011, he was honored by ABC7 Sports and the National Football League as Coach of the Week. In 2013, he was named the Sunbelt League Champion of Character Coach of the Year. Coach Peralta has led the Tigers to the CIF Playoffs 15 times in his 16 years as Head Football Coach. Coach Peralta enjoys spending time with his family and their daily adventures. He spends his spare time as leader of the Murrieta Chapter of Coaches of Influence, also known as “COIN” a Christian Coaches ministry.
