About Me

Coaches & Admissions Counselors, My name is BJ Higgins and I am currently in my Junior Year at Dallas Roosevelt High School, Dallas, TX. My parents have always stressed the importance of academics which is why I have enrolled in moistly honor level courses so far in my high school career and maintained a 3.65 GPA. Of course, I have also dedicated a large portion of my time outside of the classroom to my athletic passion which is Football. As a Class of 2022 Dual/Threat QB, I have been blessed to be surrounded by great Coaches, Trainers, Teachers and of course Teammates. With the spread of Covid-19, everyone has been in some way effected by this horrible virus and as a Student Athlete I am no different than many others across the country in the Class of 2021 and Class of 2022. Luckily, unlike those who I pray for that suffer the loss of a loved one or are sick, I myself control my own destiny through my academic and athletic work which I hope to show you. Through my training and what I believe you will see on my film is the ability to read the field/defense, I have a quick release and am very accurate in my throws. This has lead me to receive several awards such as Top QB at the recent Gunslinger Camp and Camp MVP at the RG3 QB Academy. Just like my academics, I understand the value of studying and have held Tuesday Night play study sessions on Twitter. I believe being coachable, especially at the QB position is critical, and I was amazed when 2017 NFL Hall of Fame QB Kurt Warner took the Time to respond to my Twitter session and offer advice. Most of all, I have been honored to represent Team USA in the International Bowl as the QB and being named Team Captain of my High School Football team are two of my proudest moments in Football. Awards may sound great, but the respect of Representing your Country, your Community and Your Team is something that can't be beat! In closing, I thank you for the time and consideration you have given me so far. My goal is to play DI Football and earn my degree for a University I can be proud of. However, I also want to have a Program and University I can represent not just for the next four years but for the rest of my life.
