About Me

Colonel Michael A. Christoph (Retired 31 July 2017) is the Air Force Reserve Advisor to the commander, Second Air Force, Keesler AFB, MS. He advises the commander on all basic and technical training matters relating to the Air Force Reserve. He serves as a liaison between Second Air Force and Air Force Reserve Command, 22nd Air Force and units within AFRC. Second Air Force oversees all operational aspects of basic military training, initial skills training, and advanced technical training for the U.S. Air Force enlisted force and support officers. Second Air Force provides training in more than 390 Air Force specialties through 1,900 courses graduating 150,000 Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and international students annually in diverse areas including aircraft maintenance, civil engineering, medical, cyber, avionics, security forces, space and missile operations/maintenance, and multiple intelligence disciplines. Colonel Christoph was born in Denver, Colorado. He entered the Air Force Reserve in December, 1985 as a traditional reserve Security Police airman. In 1992, Colonel Christoph received his commission as a Security Police officer and continued serving in a traditional reserve role. In 1998, Colonel Christoph became an Air Reserve Technician and was ordered to active duty as an Active, Guard and Reserve in the same year. Colonel Christoph has a broad background in Security Forces, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection, Recruiting, Homeland Security and has served in various unit, NAF, MAJCOM, Headquarters Air Force and Joint organizations.
