The JSerra Baseball team fell to Servite for the third consecutive game, as the Friars posted a 9-2 victory in the Trinity League and regular season finale for both teams on Thursday at Servite High School. JSerra completes the regular season with a 15-12-1 overall record. Despite the defeat, the Lions finished third place in the Trinity League with a 7-8 record and grabbed the league’s final automatic CIF-SS playoff berth. The Lions jumped to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning on a two-out single off the bat of sophomore Marcus Greis that scored juniors Tyler Dunning and Jordan Marian. But the Friars answered back immediately with three runs in the bottom of the inning to take a lead they would not relinquish. Servite added six runs between the third and sixth innings to seal the sweep.
