The JSerra Boys Volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to the Mater Dei Monarchs in Trinity League action on Wednesday evening at JSerra Catholic High School.
The Lions are now 15-8 on the season and 3-4 in Trinity League play.
The teams battled back-and-forth in the first set before the Monarchs took five of the final six points to win 25-20.
Mater Dei controlled much of the action in the second set, winning 25-17.
The two teams engaged in an entertaining battle in the third set, which saw the score tied at 20.
But Mater Dei won five of the final eight points to win 25-23 and seal the win.
