The JSerra Boys Soccer team defeated Downey 2-1 in nonleague action Wednesday evening at JSerra High.
Senior Noah Parks tallied the first goal of the game in the 10th minute and junior Gavin Allegaert added a goal in the 48th minute.
JSerra improves to 2-0-1 on the season.
