The JSerra Girls Beach Volleyball team put for another resounding victory on Monday, as the Lions shutdown Mater Dei, 5-0, in a Trinity League match at JSerra Catholic High School. The Lions have now won 10 straight matches (all by shutout) since dropping their first match of the season to Mira Costa. JSerra’s line one duo of sophomores Sara Moynihan and Emma Champagne stayed undefeated on the season, winning their two sets by a scores of 21-9, 21-13. Juniors Grace Fogel and Ruby Hill took their line 2 match-up by scores of 21-10 and 21-9. Junior Nicole Thorp and senior Jessica Bates captured the line 3 battle by scores of 21-9 and 21-8. Freshman Katherine Nowak and junior Skylar Noble teamed up to win line 4 by scores of 21-6 and 21-14. Sophomores Catherine Beadles and Charlotte Nowak took care of their line 5 encounter by scores of 21-8 and 21-13. Monday was Senior Day for the Lions, who honored Bates (their lone competing senior) for her time in the program.
