The JSerra Baseball team dropped a 3-2 decision to the St. John Bosco Braves in the opener of their Trinity League series Tuesday at JSerra Catholic High School. The Lions are now 13-9-1 overall and 5-5 in league play. The Braves took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the Lions answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning, courtesy of an RBI single by junior Gavin Flores that scored senior Charlie Caruso and an RBI walk by sophomore Marcus Greis that plated junior Jordan Marian. St. John Bosco tied the game in the third inning on a sacrifice fly and then scored the decisive run in the fourth inning on an RBI groundout. Lions sophomore Takashi Rutherford collected a team-high two hits.
