The JSerra Baseball team was unable to extend its' two-game winning streak, as the Lions were defeated by the Servite Friars, 4-1, in the opening game of their Trinity League series Monday at Servite High School. JSerra falls to 15-10-1 on the season and 7-6 in league play. The Friars grabbed control of the game early, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Lions trimmed the lead to one in the top of the second inning, as sophomore Blake Bowen scored on a wild pitch. But Servite held JSerra off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game and added single runs in the bottom of the second and fourth innings to complete the scoring. Bowen and senior Dmitri Susidko collected the only two hits of the game for JSerra.
