Your Freedom Patriots ended their regular season by taking Dieruff to the woodshed!
Freedom ended Tuesday with the win and proof that this season had a different feel. The Pates came into their rematch against Becahi just 24 hours after dropping a tuff game to Northampton. Freedom played solid in the 3-6 lose but just didn’t have enough go their way. But they would have to find a way to quickly forget about that and move on to Becahi who earlier this month held Freedom to just 2 hits in a 0-1 lose.
Patriots Club team took on Emmaus this past Saturday in a double header that saw the offense clicking. Freedom out hit their opponent 21-15 in the two games. Since the midpoint of the season, Freedom is batting a cool .329 as a team over this stretch with 48 hits and a .404 On Base Percentage.
There was a game plan going into the game against Parkland, and Matt Heineman executed it at a high level for 5 innings. He was a MAN amongst boys as he had The Trojans hitters guessing and off balance throughout. Heineman recorded 6 strikeouts and only allowing 3 hits.
