Hello Coaches and Club Directors! THANK YOU for participating in our upcoming tournament at COE COLLEGE--EBY FIELDHOUSE on SATURDAY, MARCH 12TH. Please take a look at it and let me know if there are any conflicts and/or concerns about anything! Please remember...this is a ROUND ROBIN format, so there will be no playoffs; however, each pool will be awarded medals for winning their pool!! We went to this format four years ago, and we've had wonderful feedback from coaches and fans, as the pool play was more competitive this way (e.g. we did our research with the win-loss records, average point totals, and level of competition to determine the pools)...AND you were also still playing at least four matches AND getting home a little sooner! In four team pools with playoffs, you're only guaranteed four matches anyway, so it's very similar and a win-win for everyone! I've also sent you an attachment to our campus map--PLEASE PRINT FROM A COMPUTER TO GET THE MOST ACCURATE LOCATION (not a mobile device)--which should help you locate the entrance to Eby Fieldhouse, as well as available parking lots. FRIENDLY REMINDERS FOR TEAMS AND FANS--PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO THEM: EBY FIELDHOUSE--COE COLLEGE ADDRESS--1220 1ST AVE NE, CEDAR RAPIDS 1) THERE IS LIMITED PARKING, SO WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE CARPOOLING!! (there will be other teams playing in Kohawk Arena) 2) WE WILL BE PLAYING IN EBY FIELDHOUSE, but you will still enter through Kohawk Arena!! 3) COLLEGE DRIVE IS A ONE WAY STREET!! 4) BRING YOUR OWN CHAIRS...THERE WILL BE NO BLEACHERS AVAILABLE!! 5) THERE WILL BE AN ADMISSION FEE!! 6) LIMITED CONCESSIONS--COOLERS ARE ALLOWED, NO PLUG-IN APPLIANCES!! Lastly, please notice after the 3rd match of the day, warm-ups will be 1 min shared ball handling and then 2 min for serving team, followed by 2 min serve receive team (you are allowed to use this however you wish).
