Halstead, KS — 9/29/22 Halstead Race Times/Recap On September 29, 2022 Goddard Cross Country Raced in their 5th race of the season! Much excitement was built around Halstead throughout the week as it was a course we felt we could run some PR's at and the Lions did just that yesterday! 6/19 of our runners ran PRs, we took home 8 medals, our JV boys team took 3rd place overall, and our varsity boys took 5th place overall! Lions if you did not run a PR at this meet let this be motivation for Trinity next week on Saturday! Do not hang your heads and know this is normal. It is extremely hard to run PRs in the sport of Cross Country on a consistent basis with so many factors playing into it. Some days our bodies just will not be up for running a PR and this is OK. Many of you PR'd last week at Afton! Lions make sure you are taking the needed extra day off and resting. Next week we will have a full week of practice with a race Saturday. Below you may find race times/stories from yesterday! Varsity Girls Our Varsity Girls will look to rebound and run better times next week at Trinity! 45th - Emma Deck - 24:14 65th - Elena Latorre - 26:51 Varsity Boys 11th - Luke Griffith - 17:46 PR and Medaled! A huge highlight for our team! Luke is running times that may qualify him for the State Cross Country meet. He will look to keep the momentum going while keeping himself healthy. 33rd - Ayden Smith - 19:07 (First PR this season and a highlight at this meet!) 36th - Nathan Harkman - 19:15 38th - Nathan Lewis - 19:21 53rd - Hudson Donaghue - 19:59 (6 seconds off of his PR.
