Jackson, MI — Hanover Horton Varsity girls battled with the Warriors of Grass Lake tonight at JAX60. The team made up of Halle Curtis, Sofia Donders, Madison Ashworth, Lana Gilliland, Kaytie Warren, and Makenzie LaFountain started out feeling the nerves of the first match and lost both baker games. The ladies were not done though and coach was confident in the line up as they came back and took all 20 points in the individual games!! Comets win 20-10. High games tonight were Kaytie Warren 155 and Halle Curtis 188. GO COMETS!! Good luck tomorrow in the Bowling Stones Baker Tournament!! Hanover Horton Boys came ready to battle the Grass Lake Boys, team consisted of Lucas Cain, Nick Schuette, Sabastian Ramsey, Elijah Rodabaugh, Joe Davis and Jack Kittel winning the first baker 190-147 but, came up short on the second baker 169-242. Down 6-4 after bakers, team came out strong but, fell short in the first game 791-948. With a strong start and consistency throughout the second game the Hanover Boys won 986-979 with Joe Davis leading the team with a 265(463) and Lucas Cain 206(366). Final score ended 12-18 Grass Lake. The two JV bowling teams took on Grass Lake tonight, while both teams lost, PRs were plenty! Abby Barba had a single game PR of 122 and Kilee Feldpausch threw a 186! Our new JV bowlers were out to impress with two game totals that set the stage for the season. Gabriel O'Connor tossed a 165 series, Brooke Hadley and Noah DeKamp each threw 196 and Jaxon Hart had a 218 2 game total. The JV will bowl against Jonesville on Monday, Dec. 12th at Jax 60.
