Event MVP

Performance

Jasmine has taken another step in the right direction this year and her hard work is paying off. She ran a 8.03 in the 60 to win the event and put herself atop the club record book. She followed that up with a 26.10 in the 200 to place her 2nd overall for indoor with the Dash. Great day for Jazz!!!

CO-MVP
Jaycob Atencio
He quietly goes about his workouts and is a constant when it comes to supporting his teammates. He had a previous best in the shot of 40' in any season, school, summer or indoor. He threw 42-11.5 this meet for a 3 foot PR. Hard work and consistency pays off. He then threw the weight for a team record of 42'. Although he is still hovering around 8.03 in the 60....knowing him...his goal of going under 8 will happen next week. Great Job!!!!

All - Comers Meet
Nampa, ID — Another great day for everyone that competed. The day opened with victories in the 60h (Julia Nixon) and the 60 meter (Jasmine Devers) Almost all of our athletes recorded season bests in the 60. Their hard work is paying off. In the 200 and 400 we had some exciting races that proved that our athletes are competitors. Jaymon and Ethan pushed toward the finish in the 200 placing 1 - 2 and Aiden Barnes dug deep to fend off 2 other athletes in the 400 to cross with the victory and a season best of 53.28. Once again our girls dominated the 200 and the 400 with great races and season bests across the board. Asha joined us today for the first time since the summer and ran a very smart 200...Welcome back. The field events also saw our athletes progressing with multiple season bests. We had 3 athletes over 17' in the womens long jump. Tori, Keyondra, and Paige. Our boys, not to be outdone had PR's set by KJ, Kobe, and Brendan. Jaycob Atencio had a huge throw of 43' in the Shot....a lifetime best by about 2 feet!!!!! Our middle schoolers did it again, proving that no matter what the competition, they will go out and give it their best. Caleb Washington tied the age group record in the long jump with a jump of 14'3. Chase Sloan and Jason Honell lowered their pr's in the 200 with great races. Annie Carey set a pr in the 200 as well. Johnna Frasier and Kaleena Narus set personal bests in the Hurdles, and 400 respectively. Phoebe Waters and Kennedy Patterson had their first competition with us and looked like veterans!!! Kennidy took the 60, 200 and 400 in age group records. We finished the day with the 4x200 and we didn't drop it or get called for being out of the zone (flashback to Kansas...lol)
