Lakewood Scrimmage

Ionia High School wrestling team traveled to Lakewood today to participate in a preseason scrimmage. This was a great opportunity for our wrestlers to get some mat time. Some highlights from today's action are freshman Chad Campbell and senior Hunter Barker both went 5-0 taking 1st place in their pools. Aaron Wolthuis, Vincent Crippen, and Drake Wittenbach all only had 1 loss on the day taking 2nd place in their pool. Kain McGraw and Carter Castillo both had 3 wins, and took 3rd in their pools. The high school season officially starts this Wednesday. Ionia will host the opening quad. Wrestling starts at 6pm! Here is a list of full results from today:
