Thompsonville, MI — "It is nice to have three races under our belt this season, despite the slow start to winter followed by last week's big storm and now a big warm up. The move north has really paid off in skiing, training and racing opportunities for our athletes. This week's warm weather and rain has a lot of resorts shut down but Crystal Mountain had great conditions for our race tonight. Our conference even had a guest race with us, Clare High School." Coach Petrosky, "Tonight we saw a lot of great skiing from our guys and the skiers from out opponents, which makes being at a ski race a ton of fun. The snow was very fast and it provided for some exciting runs and some spectacular crashes" Our team was led in GS by DJ Potgeter, who had the highest finish for our guys with a 9th place in slalom. Also scoring in slalom were Cohen Broomfield (13th), Aidan Brown (15th) and Ben Diegel (18th). Freshman Aidan Brown forged the way in GS with a 12th place finish. Also scoring in GS were Ben Diegel (17th), James Diegel (18th) and Gavin Dean (24th). In the JV portion of the meet the Scots were led by Peter Calhoun (1st GS & 2nd SL), James Harper (2nd GS & 3rd SL), Rydik Wrubel (5th SL), Jame Pritchard (6th SL), Luke Smith (4th GS) and Brennan Donnelly (6th GS). The Scots were close to a perfect score in GS with a 1, 2, 4, 6----Great Job!
