Lions Move Up the Leaderboard at Freeburg Invite

Carterville continued their steady climb up the cross-country rankings this Saturday at the Freeburg Invitational. The varsity girls got things rolling in a big way with all six runners setting season or lifetime bests, including Lane Sambursky breaking 19 minutes for the first time, and Claire Samples lowering her personal record by over a minute. These performances netted the varsity team a top four finish and a top nine leaderboard ranking in the southern sectional.
