Fullerton, CA — The Lancers raced their first League race at the Freeway League Preview. There were notable performances all around, across all levels. Girls JV started off the meet with Julissa Herrera (10) taking the win with a time of 22:48.62, leading the Lancers to a 4th place finish. Boys Frosh/Soph was led by Nathaniel Valenzuela (10) who took 2nd with a time of 18:08.17. He led the Lancers to a 2nd place finish. Other notable performances come from Noah Flores (10), Justin Kim (10), and Ryan Kim (10), who placed 5th, 7th, and 10th, respectively. Girls Varsity was led by Esther Fee (11) who took the win with a time of 19:16.58, leading the Lancers to a 1st place finish. Other notable performances come from Stephanie Gonzalez (11) and Peyton Rushing (11) who placed 6th and 7th, respectively. Boys Varsity finished off the League Meet with Zachary Gomez (10) taking 2nd with a time of 16:10.61, leading the lancers to a 3rd place finish. The points were tight with Boys Varsity by missing 1st place by 3 points. The next race is the Woodbridge XC Classic on Friday, September 20. The first race goes off at 5:00 PM for the Novice Boys.
